The Community Digital Center in Wiang, Chiang Saen District, is located on the banks of the Mekong River, at the Golden Triangle Activity Area. It was established in accordance with the Digital Economy and Society Development Plan (2018 - 2037) or Thailand 4.0, under the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society. The center is under the supervision of the Wiang Chiang Saen Municipality, in collaboration with the project to upgrade the ICT community learning center to the digital community center. The municipality has a population of over 7,900 people and 4,196 households.

The Community Digital Center serves as a medium between the government and the public in providing electronic services, promoting lifelong learning, and promoting the people's livelihoods. It also aims for the development of the digital economy, a quality society, and improved quality of life of the people. The center has a meeting room for the community with facilities such as computers, printers, and other equipment. This benefits young people, residents of Wiang subdistrict, neighboring villages, and tourists, both Thai and foreigners. It is not only an exchange and learning center for students, but also is envisioned to serve as a link for cross-border trade between Thailand, China, Laos, and Myanmar in the future.
