Chern Tawan International Meditation Center
Chern Tawan International Meditation Center was founded by W. Wachirametee (Phra Maha Wutthichai Wachirametee) on 29 January 2009. It is located in Huai Sak Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chiang Rai, on a 190-rai plot of land. The name "Rai Chern Tawan'' means "a place to invite the Dharma, as the sun, into the hearts." In addition to being a Buddhist center, the Chern Tawan International Meditation Center is also the home of the Vimuttayalaya Foundation, Vimuttayalaya Institute, and Mahavijjalaya of Buddhist Economics (an alternative education institution for development based on the philosophy of Buddhist Economics).

Chern Tawan International Meditation Center organizes a variety of activities including:
- Educational activities, such as providing scholarships to monks, novices, and young people, establishing a -Buddhist seminary, and founding Mahavijjalaya of Buddhist Economics.
- Buddhist propagation activities, such as sermons, teachings, lectures, and the production of various media.
- Social development activities, such as the Dharma in the City project, the Wana Yatra project to visit the headwaters forest, the BoonBox project to deliver food to homes from the heart, and the creation of peace values, such as teaching meditation and working to improve the quality of life of refugees.

Chern Tawan International Meditation Center is a place for Buddhism, art, and social development’s enthusiasts. It is a learning and meditation center that is open to those who seek peace and prosperity for themselves and society. It is a place of importance both in terms of religion and society, a source for the propagation of Buddhism to the global community, and an institute that promotes education, develops society, and brings peace.

The Information Center of Chern Tawan International Meditation Center located at the first room of the long building with the Bun Corridor (Corridor of merits) leading to the Sunyatakan Building, which normally exhibits Phra Maha Wutthichai Wachirametee’s biography as well as the history, vision and mission of the Chern Tawan International Meditation Center, is used as exhibition space of the Maeying Artists Collective pavilion.

Siriwat Restaurant ’s building is made of old wood constructed by the combination of the traditional wedging techniques from Lanna and Zen, resulting in a beautiful, simple, ordinary and serene atmosphere, with the Victoria Lotus canal situated between the restaurant and the pleasant bamboo garden.
