Chang Warehouse (Huai Kiang Warehouse)
Chang Warehouse (Huai Kiang Warehouse) is located 2.5 kilometres away from Chiang Saen District. Comprising four warehouses (three closed and one open) and a unique office building resembling a golf ball dome, the compound encompasses an approximate area of 47 rai 3 ngan 75 square wa. It was initially designed to temporarily store products en route to import-export operations and inspections, which was previously under the jurisdiction of the Customs Department. Later on, the warehouse has been available for rent by the public.

One of the closed warehouses in Huai Kiang has been repurposed and converted into a strategic area for the Thailand Biennale, Chiang Rai 2023. A diverse collection of contemporary artworks created by selected artists will be exhibited in the area of 1,200 square meters (20 x 60 x 6 meters), alongside the exterior space of 16,500 square meters in total.

In addition to providing space for the exhibition of artworks, Chang Warehouse promotes and supports partnerships with community enterprises to disseminate products that represent the true identity of Chiang Rai Province. It serves as a compass and a platform for advancing the "Circular Economy" concept by utilising the creative force during the organization of the Thailand Biennale in Chiang Rai to propel the community economy.
