Eiji Sumi is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersection of art, science and social issues. His immersive installations transform scientific principles into sensory experiences, examining the dynamic relationships between the natural and artificial worlds. 

Sumi’s work delves into phenomena like optics, waves, gravity, particle dynamics and time, while also reflecting his fascination with play, storytelling, and societal and historical beliefs. Drawing on his background in lighting, kinetics, painting, photography and design, Sumi creates installations that challenge human perception, blending technology with natural forces. His internationally exhibited projects offer new perspectives on the unseen dynamics that shape space, interaction and human experience.
