Niwat Manatpiyalert explores through diverse artistic means the fabric of everyday life as shaped by socio-political, economic, and environmental matters. He has engaged with these subjects through processes of observation and interpretation, giving tangible form to collective memory. Stemming from his interests in community and participatory art, Manatpiyalert’s practice is based on field research and involves cross-disciplinary collaboration with specialists and other creative practitioners. A graduate from the Städelschule Frankfurt a.M. (2019) under the class of Tobias Rehberger, he has participated in numerous exhibitions including Area 721,346 (solo exhibition at VER Gallery, Bangkok, 2023), Art for Air Public Art Festival (Chiang Mai, 2021), LASH 23 (Nassauischer Kunstverein Wiesbaden, 2019), Hæng Løst (Nationalpark Thy, Stenbjerg Landingsplads, Snedsted, Denmark, 2019), Summer Festival (Opelvillen, Rüsselsheim, 2019), Air Conditioned (Städel Museum, Frankfurt, 2019), appearing unannounced (Rirkrit Tiravanija’s studio, Chiang Mai, 2018), and The Immeasurable and World's End (JWD Art Space, Bangkok, 2022).
