Pitupong Chaowakul was born in Ubon Ratchathani and studied architecture at Chulalongkorn University and the Berlage Institute in the Netherlands. After a stint at Nox Architects, he founded Supermachine Studio in 2009, exploring architecture, interior, and festival design with sharp cultural narratives. His work has won international awards including Archmarathon 2014, AR Emerging 2015, and ArchDaily’s 2017 Building of the Year. In 2024, he was named a Silpathorn Artist (Architecture) by Thailand’s Ministry of Culture.
