Riar Rizaldi

Lives and works in Yogyakarta, Indonesia 

Artist and filmmaker Riar Rizaldi explores technology and cosmology, labor, nature, genre cinema, and theoretical fiction. His works have been screened at international film festivals worldwide such as Berlinale, Locarno, IFFR, FID Marseille, Viennale, and BFI London, as well as at Centre Pompidou, MoMA, Whitney Biennial, Taipei Biennial, Istanbul Biennial, Venice Architecture Biennale, Biennale Jogja, and National Gallery of Indonesia. Rizaldi has recently held solo exhibitions at institutions including Gasworks London, the Institute for Contemporary Art, London, Z33 Hasselt, Centre de la photographie Genève, and Batalha Centro de Cinema Porto, among others.
