Rossella Biscotti is an artist whose practice cuts across sculpture, performance, sound works, and filmmaking. Stemming from extended research processes, conceptual excavations, personal encounters, interdisciplinary collaborations, and the subtle interrogation of sites and stories, her works encapsulate meticulous stratifications of materials and meanings.
Biscotti has taken part in major international exhibitions as the 16th Sharjah Art Biennale (2025), Diriyah Contemporary Art Biennale (2024), Dhaka Art Summit (2020), the 55th Venice Biennale, 13th Istanbul Biennale (2013), dOCUMENTA 13, and Manifesta 9 (2012). A major anthological exhibition has been presented at Castello di Rivoli Museo d’Arte Contemporanea, Torino (2024), and she has been the subject of solo presentations in institutions such as Kunstinstituut Melly in Rotterdam (2019), Kunsthaus Baselland in Basel and daadgalerie in Berlin (2018), V–A–C Foundation at the Gulag History Museum in Moscow (2016), Museion in Bolzano (2015), Wiels in Brussels, SculptureCenter in New York, and Secession in Vienna (2013)
